Silo Group Design
Design of silo structures for bulk material storage with verification of strength, stability, and structural deformation.

Text / task
Based on the technical specification, defined overall dimensions, and required storage capacity, develop a silo structure for bulk material. The structure must provide the required capacity, stability, and reliable operation under service and environmental loads.

Analysis / calculation
The structure was analyzed using the finite element method in accordance with applicable design standards. The numerical model included self-weight, stored material loads, and external actions. The analysis covered the stress-strain state, displacements and rotations, global and local stability, as well as stresses in critical structural connections. The effects of structural inclination and uneven support behavior were additionally evaluated, with nonlinear material and structural behavior taken into account. Support zones and the foundation were also checked for punching shear and transfer of design forces. The analysis confirmed that the load-bearing system satisfies the required strength, stability, and deformation criteria and provides the necessary structural performance in operation.

By combining engineering design with the experience of the production and installation team, the project was carried through from the numerical model to the completed structure on site. The video shows the main stages of fabrication, assembly, and installation of the silo group.
